Dana Walton

Dana Walton is a professional photographer and fine abstract artist located in Friday Harbour, just north of Toronto, ON. She lives with her husband Brad, of over 20 years, and their son, Mason. Dana lives by the words "less is more" and carries that into her art. She believes in finding beauty in its simplest forms. A photographer for nearly 20 years, her focus lies within the realm of landscape and minimalism. Her recent project documenting the ever evolving development, Friday Harbour Resort, is published as a fine art coffee table book. Dana took her love for the arts and added a more "hands-on" medium to her collection creating abstract paintings. Taking the same minimalistic approach as her photography, she carefully selects her colour palette and composition, using various acrylics, inks, and pigments.
Dana's gallery wall is a main feature in the Lake Club at Friday Harbour and her work is currently featured for purchase at the AVI Gallery, located on the boardwalk of Friday Harbour Resort. Her work had also been published in various magazines, including Mountain Life and Click- for the modern photographer, and Shutter-up. In addition, she has been named by LookLikeFilm, as one of the Most Epic Landcscape Photographers as well has been featured by National Geographic and the UK's rise-Professional Female Photographers.
Her photography and fine art paintings have been sold internationally from coast to coast,
